Every drum we sell is backed by a technical team, an in-house laboratory and a written performance guarantee. Here is what that means in practice.
Technical support staff
The Piston Power technical team is headed by Krish Andhee, a qualified analytical chemist with extensive experience in lubricants. During 28 years with a major oil company his roles included Automotive Product Specialist and Product Development Specialist.
His experience covers product and formulation development, lubricant blending, evaluation of crudes, product recommendation, troubleshooting and general advice on lubrication-related issues.
Laboratory services
Piston Power products are blended at our ISO-listed plant in Durban and batch tested in our in-house laboratory. Batch certificates are available on request. We also hire laboratory space around the country for ad-hoc product analyses, and can help you set up a testing schedule for a predictive maintenance programme, recommending a laboratory and establishing the process.
Troubleshooting
We assist clients in diagnosing lubricant-related equipment failures and preventing their recurrence. Conclusions and recommendations are supplied in a written report, and may include consultation with other experts in the field.
Technical training
Specialised training for all our clients. Courses are designed for the various levels of technical staff involved in the operation, maintenance or management of industrial plant machinery, transport and other lubricant-related disciplines.
Product development
We will always recommend and supply a product that meets your needs. Where nothing off the shelf fits, we have the capacity to develop and manufacture new products to your specification.
HSE and product stewardship
We offer stewardship on all our products. A material safety data sheet is available on request for every substance we supply, indicating the associated risks and the recommended safety procedures.
Performance guarantee
Piston Power guarantees that all products supplied meet the performance claimed on the specification sheets, and accepts liability for the cost of damage to machinery proven to result from the supply of defective product.
